What did mommy say?

Every once in a while my two little monkeys like to tease mommy.  Taylor loves to climb on the couch and sit on the arm of the chair.  After I try to kindly tell her she needs to get off, she just laughs and smiles back at me.  The best part, is after Jena hears what I say she decides that she needs to be involved in this game too.  How do you be an effective mom when what you say isn't what your babies hear?

Jena's Birthday

Jena turned 3 this month.  She loved opening her presents and eating the icing off the cake.  She just didn't want to be sung to, she liked singing the Happy Birthday Song, just not with her name in it.  What a funny little girl.

Oh, what could it be?

A new outfit to match my baby.

Vancouver

After the cruise we stayed in Vancouver for a few more days with Bart and Heather's family. We loved Vancouver's many outdoor adventures and we think this sign sums it up...

We hiked over mountain trails, climbed across suspension bridges, saw a few waterfalls, visited a fish hatchery, and played in the flowers.  We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.  Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the trip.

Family Cruise

At the beginning of the month we joined Ryan's family on a cruise from San Diego to Vancouver with a little stop in Victoria. Even among some of the rockiest waves, we still managed to enjoy ourselves and get our daily fill of ice cream. Mommy's favorite things were the massage (thank you grandma and grandpa), our balcony and the endless ice cream in waffle cones. Daddy's favorite thing, ice cream, ice cream, ice cream. What can I say, we like to eat. Jena loved running around the ship and climbing up & down the stairs. But, her all time favorite thing was being with her cousins. Little Taylor loved the balcony, especially if there was water on the ground to play in.

The Beginning of it All...

After a month or so of dabbling with the idea of a blog, a few days of figuring out some html tricks and then a few more days of being locked out of our blog because it was flagged as a possible spam blog... here is our family blog. We may be few in numbers, but we definitely make up for it in terms of volume (yes, the hearing kind) and energy. Welcome friends and family to our wild world traveling hand in hand.
